Die akademiese vryheid by Laerskool Fairland word as die grondslag vir ‘n intellektuele omgewing beskou, waarbinne die reg om kennis na te strewe, rede te voer, te onderrig en navorsing te doen.
Leerders word met die hulp van ‘n uitmuntende onderwyskorps hiermee ondersteun om op die beste moontlike standaard na die volgende fase te vorder. Vraestelle word volgens Bloom ’s- en Barrett se taksonomie opgestel en deur IEB gemodereer vir die betekenisvolste assesserings moontlik.
Laerskool Fairland beskou stimulering van entrepreneursgroei as baie belangrik. Ons poog om ondernemende individue te bemagtig en om geleenthede te benut.
Effektiewe kommunikasie word deurgaans gemotiveer en aangeleer.
  • luister aandagtig en met simpatie.
  • luister sonder om te oordeel.
  • verstaan voor jy reageer.
  • praat duidelik sonder om emosioneel te wees.
  • verstaan die ander persoon se gevoelens.
  • toon met jou liggaam dat jy luister.
Gevolgtrekking en sintese speel ‘n belangrike rol in die elke dag se lewe en die nodige toerusting moet verskaf word.
Motoriese vaardighede word gestimuleer sodat leerders in staat is om materiale akkuraat te hanteer, beheer en te manipuleer. Leerders word verder gelei om die moed van deursettingsvermoë te hê sodat die neiging ontstaan om ‘n kontinuïteit in ‘n bepaalde aktiwiteit te hê wat sal lei tot die gewenste einddoel. Verder moet hulle baie hindernisse oorkom om wel hulle doel te kan bereik.  Fisiese, sielkundige, kulturele, kritieke en ontmoedigende struikelblokke moet oorkom kan word – beslis ‘n noodsaaklike vaardigheid vir die daaglikse lewe.
Vaardighede word daagliks aangepas sodat elke leerder tot die beste van hulle vermoë toegerus is vir die lewe daar buite.
By die intersenfase gr. 4 – 7 is ons fokus op Afrikaans as huistaal, Engels – eerste addisionele taal, Wiskunde met 5 inhoudsareas, NW en Tegnologie, Sosiale Wetenskappe (Geskiedenis & Geografie), LV (PSW, LO en Skeppende Kuns). Gr. 7  word die vakke verder uitgebrei en kom die volgende by: Tegnologie, EBW en Lewensoriëntering.
Algemene doelwitte
Dit vorm die grondslag van wat beskou kan word as die kennis, vaardighede en waardes wat noodsaaklik is om te leer. Dit sal verseker dat leerders kennis en vaardighede verwerf en toepas op maniere wat betekenisvol is vir hulle lewens. Hiervolgens bevorder die kurrikulum die idee van begronde kennis binne plaaslike, bekende kontekste en terselfdertyd toon dit sensitiwiteit ten opsigte van globale vereistes. 
Verder het dit ten doel om
Leerders, ongeag hul sosio-ekonomiese agtergrond, ras, geslag, fisiese intellektuele vermoë, toe te rus met kennis, vaardighede en waardes wat nodig is vir selfvervulling en betekenisvolle deelname in die samelewing as burgers van ‘n vrye land; 
Dit word op die volgende beginsel gebaseer
  • Sosiale transformasie:  Dit verseker dat onderwysongelykhede van die verlede aangepak word en dat gelyke onderwysgeleenthede aan alle sektore van die bevolking voorsien word; 
  • Aktiewe en kritiese leer: Dit moedig ‘n aktiewe en kritiese benadering tot leer aan eerder as om te leer sonder om te begryp, en nie-kritiese leer van gegewe waarhede; 
  • Hoë kennis en hoë vaardighede:  Dit is die minimum standaarde vir die kennis en vaardighede wat in elke graad verwerf moet word, word gespesifiseer en stel hoë, bereikbare standaarde in alle vakke; 
  • Progressie:  Die inhoud en konteks van elke graad toon progressie van die eenvoudige tot die komplekse; 
  • Menseregte, inklusiwiteit, omgewings- en sosiale geregtigheid: Die infasering van die beginsels en praktyke van sosiale en omgewingsgeregtigheid en menseregte soos dit in die Grondwet van die Republiek van Suid-Afrika omskryf word. Die Nasionale Kurrikulumverklaring Graad R-12 is veral sensitief vir kwessies wat diversiteit weerspieël soos armoede, ongelykheid, ras, geslag, taal, ouderdom, gestremdhede en ander faktore; 
  • Waardering vir inheemse kennissisteme: Om erkenning te gee aan die ryke geskiedenis en erfenisse van hierdie land as bydraende faktore om die waardes in die Grondwet te laat gedy; en 
  • Geloofwaardigheid, kwaliteit en doeltreffendheid. Dit voorsien onderwys wat vergelykbaar is met internasionale standaarde in terme van kwaliteit, omvang en diepte. 
Leerders word verder bemagtig om die volgende te kan doen
  • Identifiseer en los probleme op en neem besluite deur kritiese en kreatiewe denke; 
  • Werk doeltreffend saam met ander as lede van ‘n span, groep, organisasie en gemeenskap; 
  • Organiseer en bestuur hulself en hulle aktiwiteite verantwoordelik en doeltreffend; 
  • Versamel, ontleed en organiseer inligting en evalueer dit krities; 
  • Kommunikeer doeltreffend deur middel van visuele, simboliese en / of taalvaardighede in verskillende vorme; 
  • Gebruik wetenskap en tegnologie doeltreffend en krities deur verantwoordelikheid teenoor die omgewing en die gesondheid van ander te toon; en 
  • Begryp die wêreld as ‘n stel verwante stelsels waarin probleme nie in isolasie opgelos word nie. 
Inklusiwiteit vorm ‘n belangrike deel van organisering, beplanning en onderrig.  Dit gebeur alleenlik as daar deeglik begryp word hoe om leerstruikelblokke te herken, aan te pak en te oorkom. 
Intervensie
Die intervensiespan word jaarliks saamgestel. Hierdie span beywer hulle om intervensie-programme te volg om voortdurend die standaard te handhaaf. Leerders se vordering word noukeurig gemoniteer sodat ondersteuning en intervensie vroegtydig toegepas kan word om te verseker dat leerders na die volgende graad kan vorder.

Solar PV for Schools will take the legwork out of the daily activity of your salesforce, by introducing you to schools, ready and waiting to know all about you.

The fundamental and unique reason for this Solar PV for Schools Platform is to give Suppliers a place where they can explain in great detail, the experience of the company, the team involved, contact details, the projects already carried out, and much more.

We are making four essential areas available to Suppliers:

  • Overview: detailing an overview of your company
  • Profile: everything about your company is important to the decision makers.
  • Gallery: post all important photographs of solar installations the company has carried out.
  • Reviews: where your Clients are able to post reviews and recommendations.

The more information you post, the more chance you have in being noticed. And you are always able to share your profile page with other perspective Clients, who will be able to see the good things your other Clients are saying about you.

It is important to underline that this area of the Platform is probably the single most important place for suppliers…schools’ decision makers and SGB read in detail and will recommend to their AGM the reasons they will choose their specific supplier. It is therefore important for all suppliers to spend as much time as possible on this area of the Platform.

A Solar PV Manufacturers category will soon be launched, where Manufacturers of Solar Panels, Inverters, Batteries, Roof Mounting Systems, Cables, etc will be able to SignUp to Solar PV for Schools and introduce their products.

The aim is to make schools aware of the unique part of the value chain they are able to fulfil, including the very important guarantees and warranties and extended warranties offered by the manufacturers to suppliers and how the end-user Client (in this case schools) will benefit.

Availability in the South African market is also an important aspect that school will need to understand, in order to ensure continuity of supply over the 25-years life expectancy of the Solar PV System.
