Northcliff Primary

It looks wonderful and it makes a massive statement to the future direction of the school. The Principal and SGB wanted to the celebrations of their 80th year in 2022 to be significant and so it was. The installation of the Solar System took place during the summer holiday and commissioned in March 2023.

It was long in the making and a number of major hurdles needed to be overcome (including the construction of a complete new roof structure to the Senior Block) but the intention was clear for some time: reduce demand of electricity by replacing all the existing fluorescent lamps with LED lamps and installing a Solar PV System to reduce the ever increasing cost of electricity.

A total of 65 KWp of solar panels were installed and to mitigate the issues caused by loadshed, the addition of a 60 kWh LiFe Battery was added.
